WAEC Shuts Adventist Day SHS Center And Relocates Candidates To Kumasi Office Over Exam Malpractice
The West African Examinations Council (WAEC) has evacuated candidates from Adventist Day Senior High School in Kumasi to its regional office following the discovery of extensive cheating during the ongoing West African Senior School Certificate Examination. Mayor Richard Ofori Agyemang Boadi confirmed the decision on Thursday (4 September) during a monitoring tour of test centers in the Kumasi metropolitan. The relocation was intended to preserve the exams' credibility. Although officials have yet to offer any details regarding the event, all 936 candidates have been reallocated to write their English Language paper under strict supervision at the WAEC office.
