. A terrible tragedy has befallen the University of Education, Winneba, as we mourn the loss of two recent graduates.

A terrible accident occurred around 8:20 AM this morning, November 18, 2024, in Punikrom, near Domeabra in the Western North Region of Ghana.

According to reports, the two National Service Personnel, Ayaba Francis, who was part of the science department and Isaiah Awuah, who was also part of the mathematics department were on their way to their workplace, St. Joseph Senior High School.

While riding their motorbike to work, the two National Service Personnel, Ayaba Francis and Isaiah Awuah, encountered a large pothole on the road near Domeabra. A taxi traveling in the opposite direction with overspending bashed the pothole, losing control and colliding with the motorbike.

Isaiah Awuah, who was sitting on the motorbike, suffered terrible injuries, including fractured legs that affected his testicles, after Ayaba Francis, who was riding the motorbike, died instantly.

A schoolgirl they picked to drop off at school is reportedly reported to be in a coma, while Isaiah Awuah, who was gravely hurt, was taken to the hospital and later declared dead.
